For over 35 years TARII has supported and facilitated scholarly research and exchange in and on Iraq. This important mission is rooted in the TARII Research Center and Library in Baghdad, our projects across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and international programs. Soon, with your support, essential programs, research and training facilities, and housing space will also be available through a culture center in Mosul.
With TARII’s minimal budget your donation will go a long way in supporting our mission.
We need you now more than ever.
Become a founding supporter of the tarii centers in Iraq
TARII is developing the Center in Baghdad for open access to act as a crucial hub connect scholars, train participants, and host events. It is already the core of TARII’s programs in Iraq, overseeing cultural heritage preservation projects, research fellowships, art and history exhibitions, heritage and environment studies and more! The library, The McGuire Gibson Research Library, will offer visitors free access to important print and online research resources as well as trainings.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (ISAC), University of Chicago, TARII is breaking ground on a new heritage and research center in Mosul that will house visiting experts, host training and academic programs, provide open access to research materials, and more!
Interested in being a Founding Supporter of the TARII Centers in Iraq? Donations of $5,000 or more will be included on a plaque that will be displayed at the Centers.
Visit our Campaign Page or contribute through the box below. Thank you in advance for your support!
Also check out TARII’s Wall of Honor recognizing the vital contributions of our supporters.
Donate today and you’ll become a part of the effort to study and preserve Iraqi cultural heritage, while also supporting the cross-cultural exchange of ideas and scholarship.
Iraq Speaker Scholarship
TARII offers a scholarship for Iraqi scholars invited to speak at international events and programs. The scholarship offsets the travel costs associated with the event, which often hinders the participation of these worthy speakers.
This program is funded entirely by donations from the TARII community. Give today and support this very needed scholarship!
