Dissertation Prizes

Every two years, TARII awards the best U.S. doctoral dissertations on Iraq. The Donny George Youkhana Dissertation Prize (named in 2011) recognizes the best dissertation on ancient Iraq. A second award recognizes the best dissertation on modern or medieval Iraq. The competition is open to U.S. citizens at any university worldwide and any student at a U.S. university.

يقدم معهد الابحاث الأكاديمية في العراق (تاري) جائزتين لأفضل رسائل دكتوراه تتناول العراق مرة كل سنتين. الأولى جائزة دوني جورج وتقدم لأفضل رسالة دكتوراه تتناول العراق الفديم، والثانية لأفضل رسالة دكتوراه تتناول العراق الحديث أو العصور الوسطى. المسابقة للحصول على احدى الجائزتين مفتوحة لمواطني الولايات المتحدة الدارسين في اية جامعة في العالم ولاي طالب يدرس في احدى جامعات الولايات المتحدة.

One award of $1,000 will be made biennially for The Donny George Youkhana Dissertation Prize for the best dissertation on ancient Iraq.

Modern & medieval iraq dissertation prize

One award of $1,000 will be made biennially for the best dissertation on medieval or modern Iraq.
