The Academic Research Institute in Iraq (TARII) provides fellowships for U.S. and Iraqi scholars researching Iraq-related topics. Currently, projects must include travel outside of Iraq and the United States. TARII's fellowships are open to post-doctoral and advanced pre-doctoral researchers and for a variety of topics. Below is a complete list of previous TARII U.S. Fellows and their research. TARII does not publicize the names of our Iraqi Fellows at this time.
These fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through a sub-grant from the Council of American Overseas Research Centers.
